Somers Custom Stoneworks is a dedicated masonry team, built and inspired by the Somers family. It all began with Keith Somers beginning his masonry journey in the late 70’s. During his 35 years in the industry, Keith not only taught the art of masonry, he taught the values of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. Inspired by his father and teacher… Owner, Jake Somers built a passion for the masonry craft at a very young age and established Somers Custom Stoneworks in 2018.
Jake and the Somers Custom team share the same desire to provide craftsmanship at the highest level. With over 50 years of combined experience, we are industry leaders in Washington. We have developed extensive knowledge working with natural stone, artificial stone, brick and other various materials. Our projects include new builds, custom homes, remodels and commercial jobs. From interior to exterior - fireplaces, accent walls, walkways, wainscoting, retaining walls, monuments, outdoor entertainment centers and custom projects.
We contract directly with private homeowners, general contractors and builders. We are partnered with premier stone suppliers in Western Washington. This allows us to source the highest quality materials to our clients.
Our work is timeless and built to last. Our mission is to bring out the best in every project, focusing on the details that matter to you. From a small addition to a complete custom design, we are here to make your dream the reality you’ve envisioned.

We had a great experience with Somers Custom Stoneworks. From the beginning jake had great communication with us getting back and following up on every occasion. His customer service has always been stellar on the multiple masonry jobs that he has done for us. He does excellent work. We recently pulled the plastic off the fireplace he did for us and were stunned at how good it looked. Really happy with his work. Also, for a young guy I have been very impressed with his customer service, how he runs his business, and his work ethic. We highly recommend Jake Somers for your masonry work. The people he had working with him were also very good.

Jake did our fireplace in our new home. Helped us select the stone. Scheduled us quickly. Picked up and delivered supplies. Always arrived as planned. Promptly responds to calls and emails. I didn’t understand completely one of the finishing pieces and did not like it. He fixed it very quickly. Very pleased with finished product. Excellent to work with!

Jake exceeded all my expectations
Jake exceeded all my expectations, and I will recommend him to each and every person that compliments my fireplace! I had an idea in my mind of what my fireplace could look like, but wasn’t sure anyone could bring it to life. Jake did exactly that. He had experience working with the stone I had selected and put in long days to meet a tough deadline. He arrived early and worked late putting in several 12 hour work days. Then in the final hours of the project, a wind storm took out power to our neighborhood. He fired up a gas powered stone cutter and kept working!! I was so impressed with his work ethic, his knowledge, and his professionalism. I feel so lucky to have had him work on my project. I think in a couple more years when his name is out there he will be in demand and hard to get on your project. I highly recommend him!

The results are spectacular!
We have been fortunate enough to have Somers Custom Stoneworks do three large jobs simultaneously and the results are spectacular! These people understand stone, design and clients. The level of detail and thought that goes into their projects is hard to describe other than to say that every stone is set individually and envisioned as to how it integrates into the overall design. Every possible precaution is made to ensure permanency. Somers can follow a design or help create one. Jake carries images of past completed jobs as well as design ideas. Their work ethic is of the highest level and their pricing is entirely reasonable. As you will see, Jake and Jaaron are possibly the most thoughtful and dedicated professionals you will ever hire. There needs to be a sixth star in the rating systems for these guys!
